VN, China join hand in combating human, drug trafficking
VGP – Vietnamese Minister of Public Security To Lam and Chinese State Councilor, Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi last week co-chaired the sixth Viet Nam-China drug prevention and control meeting.

Participants in the meeting included Chinese Deputy Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong and heads of departments of public security of Vietnamese provinces of Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lai Chau, Dien Bien and Lao Cai.
At the meeting, Mr. Zhao Kezhi welcomed the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation to the meeting, which helps consolidate and develop the relationship between the two Parties, States and people as well as the two nations’ public security agencies.
He expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security for directing its agencies at localities to actively join hand with the Chinese side to fight crimes, making contributions to ensuring security and order at each side.
The two sides agreed to promote information exchange and sharing in the upcoming time, coordinate in launching seven crime prevention programs in fields of human and drug trafficking, counterfeit money crime, wanted subjects and criminals fraud via telecommunication network.
In the time ahead, both sides consented to realize inked agreements, maintain delegation exchanges and enhance crime prevention and control as well as promote cooperation in training and technical assistance.
They will strengthen cooperation in law enforcement within multi-lateral cooperation such as the Greater Mekong Sub-region, ASEAN with China.
The seventh meeting between the two ministries will be organized in Viet Nam by 2020.
After the meeting, the two ministers inked the memorandum of understandings on the outcomes of the meeting.
