Viet Nam, Singapore step up collaboration in crime prevention
VGP - Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Duy Ngoc paid a courtesy visit to Singaporean Minister of State for Home Affairs Desmond Tan and held a working session with Commissioner of the Singapore Police Force Hoong Wee Teck as part of his visit to Singapore last week.
At these meetings, Nguyen expressed his delight on achievements both nations have gained in all spheres of combating crimes and ensuring social safety and order.
Viet Nam's police force has launched cooperative activities in crime prevention and control with the Singaporean side effectively and practically via diplomacy and Interpol channels, noted the Deputy Minister.
The Cooperation Agreement on Crime Prevention and Fight between Viet Nam and Singapore was inked in 2006 and extended in 2012.
The two sides signed an extension of the Bilateral Cooperation Agreement in Transnational Crime Prevention and Control in 2018.
