Nearly 1,800 drug-related cases uncovered in February

The information was released at a meeting on reviewing performances of the Public Security Forces in February 2022 and summarizing results of the intensive campaign against crimes during the 2022 Lunar New Year.

In February, the police force successfully investigated 2,578 cases of social order-related offences and arrested 6,355 related people, destroyed 94 criminal groups.

Additionally, the police nationwide solved 240 cases of violating regulations on the use and possession of military weapons, explosives, and combat gears, and arrested 351 involved persons.

Meanwhile, the traffic police force handled 165,099 cases of violating traffic order and safety regulations, fined some VND189 billion, and impounded 31,456 vehicles.

Addressing the event, Minister of Public Security To Lam requested agencies and local police units to continue implementing their work plans for 2022 while paying attention to performing the projects and missions assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister as well as accelerating the drafting of legal documents in accordance to the schedule.
