Ha Giang: health insurance coverage among HIV/AIDS carriers reaches 98.8%

Amid the reduction in the international sponsors for HIV/AIDS prevention and control program, health insurance is the core solution to maintaining treatment services. 

According to the province’s Center for Diseases Control, as many as 684 drug addicts have management profiles. In the first quarter of 2020, 12 new HIV carriers were uncovered while 12 HIV carriers developed full-blown AIDS. 

The province has officially launched ARV treatment from health insurance fund since March 2019. 

ARV treatment has been realized at 12 medical facilities. 

At present, a total number of 103 HIV/AIDS patients have maintained their treatment at the province’s general hospital.
